With the Kidquake Literary Festival, I had the opportunity to lead the kids through an illustrator workshop at the San Francisco Public Main Library. What a wonderful morning with these classes from Clarendon and Peabody Elementary schools! Today, in our Illustrator Workshop, we talked about some of the basic elements of art through music with the use of color to express emotion as demonstrated throughout Wassily Kandinsky's work. With inspiration from his Color Study of Concentric Circles, the kids created their own masterpieces.
