Day 3 #CreateEveryday

The Bedouin, the nomadic Arab, once practiced falconry as a method of capturing food for survival in the desert but now is an expensive hunting sport in the Arab world. A visit to a falcon souq, or market, in Doha, where falcons are available for sale and a falcon training demonstration gave me a glimpse of what it might have been like for this sport of old Arab tradition, dating back to 2000 BC. Falcons are a symbol of courage & pride and associated with nobility. To learn more, the International Association of Falconry and Conservation of Birds of Prey shares an informative world historical timeline of Falconry.
